Prairiestorm Sprite CDX WCX MH
Sprite is a 50lb female who was born and raised at Prairiestorm Kennels. She stood out as a young puppy by her desire to always be with me and follow me around the acreage. Even when the other puppies in the litter were off playing she would keep an eye on me so as to always know where I was so that if I were to sneak away she would be able to follow me. She was not deterred by slippery flooring, stairs, or any obstacle. Although not the best habit to undertake she would even escape out of enclosures as a young puppy in order to be with me when she saw me outside. She would come wherever I would go. Since she was the littlest in the litter I called her Sprite meaning small and spirited. She is very loyal and affectionate and as soon as you pet her she will groan and roll onto her hip so that you can rub her belly. She has a very natural retrieve and gentle mouth and whereas other young dogs would run off with the object Sprite would gently carry it back to me and deliver to hand. In the field she is a "pocket rocket" and is very fast and stylish and runs hard on her retrieves through any type of cover. She obtained her Working Certificate, Working Certificate Intermediate, and Junior Hunter titles in summer 2010 with her co-owner Wally Turk. Sprite will be competing in upper level hunt tests in the years to come. In early 2011 Sprite received her CD title in competition obedience by passing 4 straight trials with very impressive scores and in the summer of 2011 she completed her WCX title. In the spring of 2012 Sprite completed her CDX title in obedience by passing 3/3 with very nice scores. In the summer of 2012 Sprite passed 2 for 2 towards her Senior Hunter title. In the summer of 2013 Sprite passed 2/2 to earn her Senior Hunter title. Her puppies will make great active family pets, hunting/hunt test, agility, drug detection, or search and rescue candidates. The summer of 2014 saw Sprite earn her Master Hunter title.

SPRITE came to our home on the 9th March 2010. It was very easy to decide upon SPRITE once we saw her retrieve for Danielle the first time. The hard going little 50lb pound lab would run out for a mark and return even faster. Her manners were great and she was totally focused on retrieving.
When SPRITE was brought to our home she was an instant favorite with everyone. SPRITE is very quiet gentle excellent house dog and a pleasure to have as part of our household. She is extremely tractable.
With the goal of obtaining a trained hunting companion, Hunt Tests have provided the means of developing a superb hunting partner. This training proved that SPRITE was a super marking dog capable of the most challenging retrieves. She is very hard running and returns with that same high energy and enthusiasm. SPRITE has natural abilities to meet challenges whether it is heavy cover on land or cheating situations on water. This past summer SPRITE obtained her Junior Hunter and Working Certificate Intermediate titles. SPRITE is progressing well with advanced training (handling/blinds) and will continue competing in hunt tests next year.
SPRITE is a littermate to Prairiestorm Tar (CD WCI JH) and Prairiestorm Peppermint Patti (CD WCI MH). Patti was the youngest dog to compete in the Cdn Master National Master Hunt Test in 2010.
Expectations are high for SPRITE In 2011.
